Joplin Relief Fund

Joplin MissouriIn 2011, the Missouri Nurses Foundation created a relief fund to assist Joplin area nurses after the catastrophic EF5 tornado on May 22.  We were successful in raising over $24,500!!

100% of the donations received went directly toward Joplin relief.

Donations flooded in from our fellow state nurses associations all across the United States.  We also had donations from as far away at Italy and Qatar!!!  The outpouring of generosity was overwhelming.

Over 340 nurses came by the MNF Relief Effort Event on Friday, July 29, 2011!!  We distributed lots of goodies with assistance from Missouri Nurses Association, McAllisters, Crocs, Panera, 3M, ModernLitho, American Nurses Association, Missouri Department of Mental Health, General Printing, Promark Solutions, and Genesis.  The Assistance Forms were reviewed and direct assistance went to 22 nurses.  Nurses Helping Nurses - Joplin Relief Effort Press Release
