E&GW Call for Nominations
The Economic and General Welfare (E&GW), the labor arm, of the Missouri
Nurses Association is officially announcing a call for nominations for the
following positions which take office January 1, 2009.
The following E&GW Positions are to be elected in the even number years:
Two (2) Nominating Committee Positions
One (1 Representative from each Collective Bargaining Unit
Nominees must:
- Be a MONA Economic and General Welfare (E&GW) Member;
- Be committed to participate and attend at least four meetings per
year;
- Be an eligible member of a bargaining unit represented by the E&GW
program of the Missouri Nurses Association
Self Nominations are encouraged. Send name, address, phone number,
bargaining unit and which office you want to serve in if elected. A
"Consent to Serve" form is required before the nominee can be placed on the
ballot.
Deadlines:
- May 3, 2008, 10 AM-E&GW Nominating Committee meeting
- June 15, 2008 - All nominees' Consent to Serve forms received at the
MONA office by midnight.
- August 1, 2008 - Ballots mailed to all E&GW Bargaining Unit Members.
- August 31, 2008 -Ballots must be returned by to the MONA Office by
midnight
- September 15, 2008 - Official Ballot Tally
- On or about September 16, 2008 - Ballot Tally Results posted on the
MONA website at www.missourinurses.org
- January 1, 2009 - Elected Members to the E&GW Positions assume
office.
